With extensive expertise, long-standing experience, and excellent industry knowledge, Dr. Schütz advises and legally represents her clients in an efficient and target oriented manner. Since January 2025, Andrea Schütz is the owner of the law firm Schütz Law AG in Lenzburg and admitted to the bar in the Canton of Aargau.
Dr. Schütz has devoted many years to health, medical, and public law. She completed her law studies at the University of Fribourg, was admitted to the bar in the Canton of Zurich and holds a doctorate (Dr. iur.) from the University of Zurich as well as a Master of Health and Medical Law (LL.M.) from the University of Melbourne.
She worked for several renowned law firms in the Canton of Zurich. Her career has been also shaped by her former position as Head of Investigations in the Criminal Law Department of the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (Swissmedic), which enabled her to expand her legal practice in health, medical and public law with a governmental and criminal law perspective and to complete a CAS in Forensics at the University of Lucerne.
Dr. Schütz is also deeply committed to combating medical device shortages. Together with Angelina Hakim (CEO of QUNIQUE GmbH), she founded the Medical Device Shortage Reporting Organization (MDSRO). The MDSRO supports players in the healthcare sector in overcoming and preventing medical device shortages (cf. Link).

Moreover, Dr. Schütz co-edits with Dr. Remus Muresan (owner of Muresan | Legal), the freely accessible online commentaries on the Therapeutic Products Act and the Medical Devices Ordinance (cf. Link). The freely accessible online commentaries promote the exchange of legal knowledge among lawyers and also provide people outside the «legal community» with cost-free access to high-quality legal information (cf.
